Holiday Concert Details

Rehearsal Schedule

  • 7:00 AM    ALL HHS Symphony MEMBERS meet at Central Wesleyan Church to set up for rehearsal – if your parents drive you to rehearsal then have them drop you off at the church.
  • 7:30 AM    Students ride back by school bus to HHS and New tech after set up, students that drove to the church, drive to school.
  • 4A Lunch   All Students EAT 4 a LUNCH (new tech students will be allowed to eat lunch at 11:10 a.m.)
  • 11:35 AM   Concert Band Concert Orchestra Jazz Band, Vocals, Belle Canto, Concert Choir, Percussion Ensemble Board Bus behind Dome and ride to Central Wesleyan Church- NO DRIVING- PERIOD.
  • 11:50 AM    Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Board Bus behind Dome and ride to Central Wesleyan Church.
  • 12:00 PM  Rehearsal Starts – Concert band, Jazz Band, and Concert Choir in places on stage and or in line up to process
  •  1:00 PM    Concert Band, Concert Orchestra, Jazz Band & Percussion Ensemble, board bus and go back to HHS. Go to 6th and 7th Hours.(unless you are also a member of symphony orchestra/wind ensemble)
  • 2:30  PM    Rest of students board bus and travel back to HHS. Go to band room or choir room.

Performance Schedule

  • 7:30PM     Stage call for all students/ performers

Performing Group Responsibilities:

REMEMBER ——-> IF YOUR INSTRUMENT IS ON THE TRUCK THEN YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO LOAD AND UNLOAD IT THIS EVENING!!!

  • All Percussionists are required to unload the truck at Central Wesleyan Church at 5:00 p.m on Sunday December 9th . Meet at door J (check out other details for a map) (band staff is encouraged to help with this process)
  • Large Instruments such as Basses, Cellos, Bari Sax, Tuba must be loaded on the truck to be taken over for rehearsal. There is no room on the bus for these instruments.
  • Large Instruments such as Basses, Cellos, Bari Sax, Tuba are to be taken with you after the performance and NOT PUT ON THE TRUCK. Make sure you bring your instrument with you to class the next day.
  • Percussionists – Load truck of all percussion equipment.
    • Meet truck at HHS and unload that evening after the concert
  • Orchestras – Stack all HHS Music Stands on Carts and load on truck (Make Sure they are our stands!!!)
    • Clean orchestra warm up room and take care of any left items – take them to the truck.
  • Bands – Stack all chairs in band/Orchestra set up
    • Clean band warm up room and take care of any left items – take them to the truck.
  • Choirs – Clean choir loft,
    • box all candles,
    • Clean Choir warm up room and take care of any left items – Take them to Mr Phelps
  • Jazz Band – take care of all Jazz Band equipment and load truck of Key board, amps, drumset.
    • Meet truck at HHS that evening to unload after the concert.

Concert attire:

  • Students- school performance uniform

Other Details:

  • All Loading and unloading of equipment and students should go through door J MAP
  • Students are to put cases and coats in designated warm up rooms that will be assigned at rehearsal
  • Students will sit in the audience with their performing group in assigned seating while not on stage performing.
