Band Parent/Volunteer Information

We hope you have had a wonderful summer.  As the school year approaches we would like to inform you that during the summer the Holland Band Boosters has been reformed and we want to share with you what has been developed and invite you to join us as we help your student and the Holland Band program grow into a thriving music experience.

Our mission is to “enhance, support and promote the band programs in Holland Public Schools, by uniting parents, students, staff and the community in a way that provides moral and financial support.” Our first task is to help Mr. Bogue with summer band camp.

Two or three parents are needed to attend and assist during band camp. The parents’ role is to be available if any emergencies arise, and to help band members if they aren’t feeling well, need water, or have any other needs during the camp sessions. We will organize 3-hour shifts for teams of two or three parents. We also need parents to help with various tasks at each of the four football games.  Please click on this link  and sign up to help!

On Wednesday, Aug. 24th, we will have a potluck cookout for students and their parents after band camp ends for the day. You will receive an update for time, place and what to bring.  The potluck will be a great way to meet our band families. It will also serve as our first official Holland Band Boosters meeting and discuss parent volunteer opportunities during marching band season.  Please click on this link to sign up and compare dishes.
